Patrick Healy Obituary
Age 84. Veteran of U.S. Army, Korean War. Devoted husband of 57 years to the late Della M. (nee Burns). Loving father of the late Colette, Patrick Jr. (Maureen), Colleen (Gregory) Gambla, Daniel, Beth (George) Vlahos and the late Baby John Healy. Cherished grandfather of Timothy, Thomas, Elizabeth, Sophia, Spiros, Patrick, and Jack. Dear son of the late Francis and Katherine Healy. Fond brother of Frank (the late Betty) Healy, Rosemary (the late John) Adams, Dudley (Nancy) Healy, Margaret Healy and the late Gwen Bucholz. Former Cook County States Attorney, Assistant U.S. Federal Attorney, member of C.B.A., I.B.A. and A.B.A. Former Executive Director of the National District Attorney Association and Executive Director Chicago Crime Commission. Patrick was a Eucharistic Minister and he also did hospice work. Visitation Saturday 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass of the Resurrection 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Woods Church, 10731 W. 131st Street, Orland Park, IL. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. Had a research project from Northeastern University where I was a student. I sent a letter to the CC Commision asking for an appointment to Inerview Mr. Healy he graciously agreed and told me I could have 30 minutes I ended up staying 2 hours as he provided insights gave us research materials and answered every question we had. I still have his letter agreeing to meet with me.
What a wonderful giving individual the world should have more people like Mr. Healy

My condolences to the Healy Family!
In 1977, I was a first year print salesman & NDAA was one of my first accounts and Patrick was the Executive Director. Needless to say I was impressed with him and respected him. He was always fair with me and I will always appreciate that. RIP Patrck Healy!

Many years ago I worked at the Chicago Crime Commission. I will always remember Mr Healy from my time there. I was just a file clerk, but Mr Healy was so kind, always acknowledged me,never too busy to answer a question or just a hello, how are you? always made me feel like I was a part of it all, not just a lowly ckerk. God bless his family and may he rest in peace after a life of fighting for justice for everyone. A truly great man, I will never forget him.
