Patsy Baker Obituary
Patsy was born to Agnes Marie Grant and George Erhard Goranson, March 19, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois. Patsy grew up in McHenry, IL and graduated from McHenry High School in 1953. She received a B.S. in Education from Northern Illinois State College in 1957 and later received a M.S. in Library Science from Butler University. She lived in Aurora, IL before relocating to Indianapolis, IN and later retiring to Florida and Alabama.
Patsy was an elementary school teacher with Indianapolis Public Schools for 26 years. She travelled extensively to Sweden, England, and France after her retirement.
Patsy was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Birmingham, AL.
Patsy is survived by four children: Renee Desmond of Birmingham, AL; James Harrison of San Jose, CA; Thomas Harrison of Clarendon Hills, IL and Richard Harrison of New Castle, CO. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Emma Harrison, Katherine Harrison, Sophia Harrison, Laura Desmond, and Hunter Desmond.
A private interment was held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie, Illinois.
