Paul Knasel Obituary

Paul F. Knasel, of Northbrook, was born December 18, 1922 in Shelby County, Ohio and passed away September 17, 2018 at Brandel Care Center. Beloved husband of the late Ingrid; loving father of Debbie (Charlie) Poterek, Allen (Laurie) Knasel and Gloria Shoulta; cherished grandfather of 13; great grandfather of 29; dear brother of the LeRoy Knasel, Dorothy (Lowell) Fogt, Esther (Wayne) Wical, and Betty (Jerry) Dahlinghaus; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Mr. Knasel was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps serving during WWII and was a member of the Northbrook American Legion. Visitation Thursday, September 20 from 4 pm until time of the service at 7 pm at Northbrook Covenant Church, 2737 Techny Rd., Northbrook. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 8430 W. Bryn Mawr, Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60631. Funeral information 847-998-1020.
