Paul honestly changed my life. He gave me opportunities no one else had and became my mentor. He gave me courage to pursue what I really wanted out of life. We would have conversations about what's important in life and how to better ourselves. I was devastated when I found out about this - many months later, by chance. (a price to pay for getting off facebook) Paul was a pleasure to work with and a truly kind, loving soul. My heart breaks for his children and I am heartbroken that he is no longer here on earth with us. I am heartbroken I cannot reach out for guidance. I am heartbroken at the pain of the best of us. I hope you have found peace, Paul.

I still can't quite wrap my mind or my heart around this. Paul was in my life because of work, but my friend by choice. He just made you look at things in a different way. I love his stories about all his "Forest Gump" moments. He used to gush about those kids. My heart breaks for them. I hope you can all learn to find peace in the memories you've shared together.

Paul was a member at my fitness studio. He was a hard worker and passionate about fitness. He brought me business and let me train his family. I am shocked to hear this. My condolences go out to his entire family.

My thoughts and prayers are with Paul's family at this time. I grew up as part of your family and will always remember Paul as the older brother I never had. Between grade school, high school, band and so many vacations, I was blessed to have him in my life growing up. May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Paul's passing. I worked with him for years @ the Chicago Tribune. His professionalism and humor were his trademark. It was a joy to see him & make some images with family members again at the Tribune Tower tour recently.

I'm so sorry to hear that Paul has passed. It was because of Paul that I had a career at the Chicago Tribune. I worked with Paul in the late 1980s at Warm Boot and from there, he went to the Tribune. As the paper headed into the internet, he joined that team and I was his replacement in the Multimedia department. I always thanked him for my career there. He was a kind, warm hearted man with lots of ambition and love for life. Prayers for him and his family.

I'm just so very sorry for this incredible loss. I always felt connected to Paul - no matter how much time passed. My favorite memories goes way back when we were kids and used to play tennis at the park together. He was such a kind and funny guy - always so honest and caring. I was lucky to see him recently - last summer I took my son and his friend to the Renaissance Fair and out of all the people there, I saw Paul and his son. It was so great seeing him. I will miss him not being on this earth. RIP dearest Paul.

Paul left us way too early. We were band mates in high school, and roommates at NIU. His sense of humor was contagious, and he was a great artist. Best memory....he converted all the doors on our dorm floor into beer cans with hand drawn designs. It was good to reconnect via Facebook over the past 5 years or so. He got into running, and started a business...great guy. He'll be missed by many.
