Phyllis Jeanne Gabriel, 64; beloved wife of Gerard; loving mother of Adriana "Addie" (Paul) Mensheha; fond nana of Vivian; cherished sister of Martha Llewelyn and William Gedye. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Salvation Army. Friends and Family will meet Wednesday 10 a.m. at Eden United Church of Christ 5051 W. Gunnison. Interment Mt. Olive Cemetery. Uncle Gerard and Addie, my prayers are with you in this time of grief. She was as remarkable as she was kind and will be deeply missed. I have many wonderful memories of Aunt Phyllis and of my time with all of you. I recall, as one of my very first memories, taking a trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo with her. I remember Uncle Gerard reading Pinocchio with (to) me as she and mom talked in the next room reliving childhood memories and engaged in contagious conversation.
