I can´t believe she´s been gone this long. There´s so much she has missed! And more to come. It´s heartbreaking, still hurts as badly as ever, I miss you everyday, Phylly.

Dear Mark and family,
I was thinking of Phyllis the other day, googled her name, and sadly learned of her passing. I supervised her teaching in Downers Grove, more like co-taught with her, at the end of her studies at UWM. My late wife, Ann, and I lived a couple of blocks from your condo in Lincoln Park in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Phyllis was a thoughtful, caring, and witty person, teacher, and friend. I can only imagine what a great counselor she was. I extend my deep condolences to you. (My wife and I have lived near Savannah for a decade.)
In peace and comfort,

My memories of Phyllis are so numerous and all cherished. She was the most dedicated and loyal wife, mother and friend. What a marvelous gal - I will miss her so much! Mark, you were so wonderful to her and in the end you did everything right, always doing what was best for her. I know how wide the void will be for you, Josh and Jon so may you all find peace in all of your memories of her. She was the best.

Dear Mark and family, I went to Warren and Bowen with Phyllis. We were good friends . Of course I knew Mel and her mother , who sometimes drove us to Bowen in winter weather. Phyllis and I shared many laughs, especially in 8th grade. We were both active in Akovah BBG and all the social activities girls did then.
Come our 50th Bowen reunion, we re- connected as if those years were yesterday- having much in common being clinical social workers while raising two sons. I´m so sad to hear of her passing. Regards, Janice Gagerman

Our heartfelt condolences to Mark and the family. Our fondest memory was running into Phyliss in a local restaurant when we first moved to Valparaiso where we knew no one. She was happy to reconnect and recruit us to join Temple Israel for which she and Mark were dedicated members.
She will be greatly missed.

Phyllis was smart, witty, and funny. She was a joy to be with. She was my wife´s best friend so I got to see and talk with her frequently. Although I never dealt with her professionally it was easy to see that she was good at her craft. Many people are very glad that she counseled them. Mark and Phyllis made a very good couple! We really enjoyed their company , their friendship, and their honesty. We will miss Phyllis greatly. May you rest in peace Phyllis. You deserve it!
