Primo Berrettini

Primo Berrettini, age 87, joined his wife Pauline in eternal rest at the end of a lengthy medical journey filled with many miracles and years of blessings. Primo, loving father to Lisa (Fanelli) and her husband Joseph, and beloved "nonno" to William, Christopher and Matthew, passed peacefully into the loving arms of The Lord on January 24 with family by his side. Born in the hills of Tuscany, Primo and his wife immigrated to America as young newlyweds. Primo spent his entire career as a server at Chicago's Italian Village, carrying a love of good food and wine with him throughout his life, passing knowledge, joy and tradition on to his family. Primo was an avid sports fan, enjoyed gardening and spending time at their vacation home in Door County, Wisconsin. He was a loving grandfather and cherished spending time with his grandsons. Primo is survived by his sister, Theresa Flosi, and niece, Francesca Flosi, as well as his daughter, son-in-law and grandsons. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., on Friday, February 10, 2023, at Elmhurst Community Funeral Home - The Ahlgrim Chapel-567 S. Spring Road, Elmhurst, IL, 60126. Funeral mass will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 10:30 am at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, 1S314 Summit Ave. Oakbrook Terrace, IL, 60181.
