Caroline W. Berrettini, 59, formerly of Dixon, IL, made her final transition on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at her home in West Hartford, CT. Caroline was born on July 17, 1964, in Lasalle, IL, and graduated from Dixon High School. She was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, class of 1986, and continued her education at the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary, class of 1993. Caroline had a deep love for her son, JP, and her alma mater, Notre Dame.
A Funeral Service was held at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, CT on Friday, (June 21). A private entombment will take place at the Cedar Grove Cemetery on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. Donations may be made to the Berrettini Family Scholarship at the University of Notre Dame by phone at 574-631-5150 or by mail to University of Notre Dame, Department of Development, 1100 Grace Hall, Notre Dame, IN 46556. Caroline was two years behind me at St. Annes Catholic Grade School in Dixon, IL. She was always kind and an amazing student. Her Mom and Dad were terrific people as well. You are with our Lord now and you did an amazing job raising your son.
