Joanie,

I was so sorry to hear that Strick has made his final journey home. Wonderful for Strick, sad for those still on earth. When pastor asked for memories at the funeral today, I was reminded of the time he shared with you a conversation we had at Disciple - and you told him I probably would have been hurt by his remarks --he called me in tears to apologize. I don't remember the conversation, but I do remember his sincere heart and the love he had for all. Please know that I am holding you and your family in prayer.

In Christ, Brenda

I'm deeply saddened to hear of "Strick's" passing.

He was a long-time friend and supporter of my Dad, and after his retirement from Republican politics "Strick" was one of the very first "old pros" to offer his help to me: a "green" kid making an unsure foray into politics.

I won't ever forget him. My condolences to the Strickland family.
