Rhea LeCesne-Gumbel, age 87, of Chicago, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6th, 2008. Born August 15, 1920 in New Orleans, LA to Adrian and Adele
LeCesne. Proceeded in death by 11 adored brothers and sisters; beloved wife of the late Judge Richard D. Gumbel, Jr.; devoted mother of Gregory (Marcy) Gumbel, Bryant (Hillary) Gumbel, Rhonda (Joseph) Gumbel-Thomas, and Renee Gumbel-Farrahi; proud grandmother of eight, Michelle, Bradley,
Jillian, Christina, Jason, Bill, Nicole, and
Daniell; great-grandmother of Mikaela; also loved and cherished by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation Monday, May 12th from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Services Tuesday, May 13th, at 11 a.m. Both to be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church 5472 S. Kimbark in Chicago.
