Robert J. Berns, of Morton Grove, beloved husband of Doris; dear father of Peggy and Mark (Martha); loving grandfather of Carly and Kevin; fond brother of the late Harold (Jean). Visitation Monday, from 3 to 7 p.m. with services at 7 p.m. at Simkins Funeral Home, 6251 Dempster St., Morton Grove, IL 60053. Cremation private. Founder and owner of Robert J. Berns Advertising, DesPlaines, IL, also an avid wood carver. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Diabetes Association, 30 N. Although it has been a long time since we actually talked I remember Bobby as a warm man who always had a smile on his face. Even after his father passed away he always remembered to send a birthday and christmas card to my father Victor Berns who was his uncle. Rest in peace
