Robert S. Geocaris

Robert S. Geocaris, 84, of Naples, died Oct. 4, 2003. He was born in Chicago, IL and attended college at the University of Chicago. Mr. Geocaris served in W.W.II in the 35th Infantry of the US Army and was in the Battle of the Bulge. Mr. Geocaris was co-owner of Barnaby's Family Inns Restaurant of Chicago, and Geocaris and Co., Chicago, IL where he retired from in 1982. Mr. Geocaris was the inventor of the Multi-trough System that is still used today in commercial buildings. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years Grace V., nee Hoggstrom, Geocaris of Naples; son David (Sharon) Geocaris of Richmond, IL; brothers Angelo (Irene) Geocaris of Northbrook, IL, James (Naomi) Geocaris of Rolling Meadows, IL and sisters Tessie Pitt of Chicago, IL, Carole (Ted) Argiris of Northfield, IL, Becky D'Angelo of Glencoe, IL, Sandra (Jim) Sneider of Northfield, IL; brothers-in-law George Chrones of Glenview, IL and Dennis R. (Rachel) Hoggstrom (brother of Grace) of Schaumburg, IL; grandson Michael Robert Geocaris of Richmond, IL; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Geocaris' sister Connie Chrones preceded him in death.
