To his Mother, brothers and sisters he was 'Robert". To the rest of the world he was 'Bob". To me, he was a life long friend as well as my brother. Grieving has been tough but, recounting endless wonderful memories has been easy. Robert 'Bob" Labak has left a warm and heartfelt impression on us all.

I will miss your dad very much and I will always remember his encouraging words and kindness when things were rough with my parents. He has always been there like a father to us all. Even though things are hard now, his strengths will help you and your mom overcome the hurt. I am so thankful to have a family like your's in my life. We love you and are here for you and your mom through this all!

Even though I had only known Bob for a few years,I could tell he had a heart of gold. Nicole has told me many times how wonderful her father is and I am glad I got the chance to meet him. Shirley and Nicole, you are both in my thoughts and prayers. Love Jill

Growing up, I knew Bob as "Mr. Labak" and a great father to Nicole. He was not only funny, but quick extend a generous dinner invite to my brother and I, which was always a pleasure! It makes me smile to think about all the great jokes he would tell and how he put up with all the craziness that goes along with having a daughter and her best friend constantly requesting car rides, sleep-overs, etc. He was a great man, and although it has been years since I have seen him, I will always picture him chuckling at us kids standing in the kitchen....and I will smile. My sincerest thoughts go out to the family..you will be on my mind.

I've realized this week just how sentimental my father was. As people are sharing their memories, i've found that he was not only an entertainer (jokester), but a compassionate and sincere person to everyone around him. He kept my baby picture in his wallet from the day that i was born, even though you can barely tell what it is, he kept it. He was also extremely upset a year or two ago when he had to remove his wedding ring, for some tests at the hospital, because he had NEVER taken it off since the day my mom put it on him. Those are just a few random things that i think back on and thank God that I had the most amazing, loving father a daughter could ever want. I will miss him for the rest of my life and love him every day.

Our thougts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. Robert left behind great memories and a family that truly loved him. Robert was a great and fun uncle. He will truly be missed by this family. Rest in peace Uncle Bob,and God Bless You.
