Robert Moreschi Obituary

Robert ("Bob") Moreschi, a former long-time resident of Westchester and recently of Bethlehem Woods in LaGrange Park, passed away on December 14, 2022. He was born October 15, 1928, in Chicago Heights, the son of the late Americo and Antonina Moreschi. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (née Picchetti), brothers, Paul and John, and sister, Elia. He is survived by his children Laura (Joseph) D'Agostino, Elaine (Leonard) Stejskal, and Robert (Linda) Moreschi; grandchildren Kristine (Dustin) McCarver, Jeffrey Stejskal, Claire and Lily Moreschi; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a long-time employee of Zenith Electronics in Glenview. An avid fisherman, golfer, and gardener, he enjoyed making his friends and family laugh and smile. The family would like to thank the staff of Bethlehem Woods, Crystal Home Healthcare, Dr. Ken Nelson, and the doctors, nurses, and staff at La Grange Memorial Hospital for their care and support. Per Bob's wishes, interment will take place privately at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Arrangements are entrusted to Hallowell & James Funeral Home, Countryside. Memorial donations may be given to The Robert E. Coulter, Jr. American Legion Post 1941 at www.AL1941.org/donate.

Laura, Elaine, Bobby; whether sitting in a cabin fishing in
Canada or sitting in his home late in life videotaping his
family's history, your dad had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. He had charm, he had charisma and
was as kind-hearted a soul that ever walked the planet.
He thought the world of you three kids, and he wore his love for you on his sleeve. It was a privilege to have
known a man of his character, and please accept our deepest condolences, Arlene, Doug, Colleen and Justin Halpenny.

I always tell my family of all the family holidays, and before COVID always brought you to your favorite restaurant for spaghetti when I came into town! I will miss my visits, and my monthly phone calls!!
