I recently learned of Professor O'Keefe's passing and memories came to mind of my very first marketing class at DePaul. He instilled a passion of marketing and for myself, an eventual career in marketing. His family is in my prayers.

I remember fondly all our conversations about art, education, books, movies, travel, and most importantly, his love of family. He is missed. My deepest condolences.

When someone we love passes, we just dont mourn their loss, we mourn the hole in our lives their passing has left. My Uncle Bob was a lot of things but he was mostly a loving father and husband. My memories take me back to the laughs at the Jersey Shore in the summertime.

I am sorry to hear about the Bob's death. I knew he suffered these past years but it is hard to believe that he has gone to his eternal reward. I had many lunches with him at DePaul. He was always kind and loved his students. He and you are in my prayers.

It was an honor to know Professor Bob O'Keefe and to be his colleague at DePaul. He was a true gentleman, teacher and scholar. We shared the passion of learning and teaching as well as our interest and backgrounds in martial arts (Bob held a black belt in Judo).
God Bless,

I was interviewing for a the Ledger & Quill Visiting Professor at DePaul and someone put Bob on my interview schedule which I thought was very odd but nice, given that I was an Accounting Professor and he was Marketing. Within a couple of minutes I could see why he was added, because he just made me feel so comfortable, talking about many things besides the classroom. I thought to myself, "What an ambassador for DePaul, if he is any indication of their faculty, I want to join this university on a permanent basis." I did so, and never regretted a moment. We discussed many things throughout my career other than academic matters, and I learned a lot and would like to think I'm a better person because of our interactions.

I am so sorry to hear about Dr. O'Keefe. He was one of my favorite professors at DePaul. I still remember his stories of working with John Candy.
