I just donated to the ACLU in his honor. There was no place to write his name, however. Sorry! He was a fine human being and wonderful principal at Wagner School. The world needs more people like Mr. Stracke. He reminded me of Mister Rogers. So kind and gentle.

My sincere condolence to Maria, Ben and Louise.

When thinking of Bob there are so many wonderful memories and stories that were related to his volunteer work as Third Unitarian Church and at the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio.
A few of the committee work at Third Unitarian Church included an occasional committee retreat to the family home in Michigan. Bob was sincere and so very thoughtful. On one of our committees we referred to Bob as being the principled principal.

Bob will not be forgotten by any of us who have known him.

Bob was my first principal when hired by him as a 4th grade teacher at Arbor View School in Glen Ellyn. I adored him, he was such a mentor, always a true professional! We (the entire staff and students) loved "Mr. Stracke". We were so sad when he retired as our principal due to his heart attack, yet so wonderful that he went on to leave another 30 + years continuing to work for the Wright Foundation, which I know he loved! I also had the privilege to travel to France with he and his wife when I did an exchange program with some of our fifth graders. So many fond memories and I think of him often.

My condolence to your family.
Rest in peace dear friend!
Love, Mary Lou McKay Andacht
