Thoughts of "one of the little boys":

I was one of the "little girls". Boy, did we hate those few words we had to hear every nite when it was time for bed! "Time for bed, little boys." "Time for bed, little girls." And we'd stamp up the stairs so upset we had to go to bed before Cary, Gip and Tom. Well, at least I stamped up the stairs!! Over the years, being far away from family, often I'd look at all the pictures I have and think, Bobby was the cutest baby. It's funny how lately all I'm thinking about is us as kids on Winchester, in our backyard. We were so lucky to be raised in Beverly. I never wanted to leave our yard. At least, not until I entered 7th grade!! And yes, I'm the sister Bobby wanted off the ice!! Dad flew out the back door, in his bathrobe!! And brothers, I'd like to know why you guys always made me be the goalie?? I'll never forget all the sneaking back into St. Barnabas after we moved to Elmhurst. Never had an accident either, until Bobby was late at our pick up spot and we started rushing to get home. Two blocks from Big Ridge and we get hit by a police car. We were so scared driving home!! ..... For some reason, even though I'd get mad at Bobby for still being crazy as we got older, the last two years, when I'd see him, I felt a sameness with him. Felt like he was a wanderer like me. Both still trying to find our way. My heart aches for you, Bobby. My tears still fall on my pillow late at nite, or in the early morning hours. I wear your sunglasses everyday, turn on your Stevie Ray Vaughn CD for my ride to work, and long to hug you. I always knew you had a loving, giving, beautiful heart. I hope you and Dad watch me every day. I miss you so. "little girl, Judy"

Bobby Can Fly!!!

I wanted to pass along a little known fact about our brother Bob. He always felt he had the ability to fly. Throughout his life he took many lessons and here a just a few...

Lesson #1: At a very young age Bob enlisted the help of a helium balloon and launched himself from the back of our living room couch. Gravity won, Bob broke his leg! Lesson #2: Bob decided to own the backyard ice rink by clearing his sister from his ice. Dad launches Bobby, snowsuit is not aerodynamic to gain lift and Bobby eats snow!

Lesson #3: Bobby challenges road construction barriers on Mannheim Rd. while on his motercycle and fails at his attempt to brake any of Evil's records. Results in embarrament and many gravel scars! Lesson #4: Bob finds himself at a party filled with unfriendly warriors. Trapped without a traditional exit, Bob decides the window offers him a safe out but neglects to open the window or check the distance to the ground prior to leaving the party. Results in Bobby eating dirt, tending his fresh cut skin and wearing a cast on his arm!

Now that Bobby has gone to Heaven, we can be sure that he is making the most his angel wings.

Yes...Bobby Can Fly!!!

I love you and miss you little brother.

To the Trilla Family

I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am about Bobby. I just found out yesterday that he had passed. It saddens me deeply that I found out about this after the funneral.

I hadn't seen Bobby in many years, but believe me, the old saying out of sight out of mind doesn't apply here. I have many pleasent childhood memories of him (and all of you for that matter) I will always cherish. My heart and prayers go out to you all.
