Robert Jean Wouda, 75, of Park Ridge, passed away unexpectedly May 14, 2008, U.S. Air Force Korean War Veteran, beloved husband of Marylyn, nee Maddox; dear uncle of Marilyn Alice (Durk Hellinga) Wouda and Pamela (Steve) Pescitelli; great-uncle of Stephani, Audrey and Jeanette Pescitelli; fond brother of the late Richard (late Lydia) and Minke Wouda. Retired from American Airlines. Member of Salmon Unlimited. Farewell Gathering 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Road (at Cumberland), Park Ridge. We are so very sorry for your loss. Uncle Bob was a wonderful man. If it wasn't for him, his knowledge, support and guidance we wouldn't have what we have today. We are so very thankful and we hope he knew how much we appreciated what he has done for us. He will be greatly missed.

Our sorrow is with yours, he was there to help when needed, helped Mom & Dad when he could. We are glad we got to know a couple of giving, helpful neighbors as you & Bob! He will be missed! I am glad to have shaken his hand!! God Bless him, Tom Foley & Family

Marylyn - I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember Bob for his love of our second hand Dobermans and all creatures who needed saving. He will be missed but I am sure that he is busy helping rescued animals cross over the Rainbow Bridge and he's helping Jim take care of our beloved Dobies.
