Roger was an outstanding professors of mine back at Chicago Teachers' College North. A brilliant and decent man, and a scholar. Who would ever think that a city college would have persons of this caliber? May he rest in the Peace of God!

Just found this... Wow! Made it to 96-97! He was truly a man of his own. One of, if not my favorite professor of all time. Happy trails... or dives?

Jac,I owe your father a debt of gratitude. He was teaching in Bordeaux in the early 70's where he met a geology student named Michel Ricou. Your father convinced Michel to come to Chicago to persue his graduate degree. I was an undergraduate in earth science. We met and the rest as they say is history. Without your father I wouldn't have the wonderful family I have now. Your father was a mentor to my husband. He has fond memories of him.We both send our most sincere condolences to you and Connie and your families. Sincerely,Ilze and Michel Ricou

Roger lived a full life, and he has helped so many. My heart goes out to the family and friends. Coping with the loss of a loved one is very difficult. May you take comfort in knowing that you are in the thoughts and prayers of many. God can prove to be the Best Comforter during troublesome times. He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those crushed in spirit. (Psalm chapter 34 verse 18)
