Rolf H. Jensen

Rolf H. Jensen, age 73, died Tuesday, August 13th, in Belleair, Florida. Mr. Jensen spent most of his time in the Chicago area. He was a professor of Fire Protection Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology, and the founder of Rolf Jensen & Associates, Inc (RJA). Mr. Jensen was chosen by Mayor Richard J. Daley to be the Chairman of the Blue Ribbon Committee investigating the McCormick Place Fire, and he held several offices in the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). He received many awards not only from an NFPA but also the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE). He is survived by his wife Lorraine of 52 years; five sons Dr. Jeffery (Linda) of Largo, FL, Ronald (Katharine) of Westport, CT, Warren (Denise), Robert of Deerfield, IL, and Randy (Susan) of Riverwoods, IL; daughter Carol Blattner (Jim) of Everson, WA; seven grandchildren.
