Glenn Robert Jensen was born on December 8, 1969, in Iowa City, the son of John Howard and Dorothyjean (Donohoe) Jensen. He attended Iowa City schools and graduated from Iowa City West High School, earning a standing ovation from his classmates, a moment that perfectly captured how much he was loved.

Over the years, Glenn worked at a variety of local businesses, including Best Rental or Rent All, Coral Ridge Theatres, and the University Dining Hall, along with several other part time roles. No matter where he worked, Glenn left a lasting impression by bringing energy, humor, and joy to everyone around him. To know Glenn was to love him.

Glenn was anything but bashful. He was truly the life of the party, and he loved a good party. He embraced life fully, enjoying dancing, karaoke, Special Olympics, swimming, movies, and most of all, time spent with family, friends, and his beloved dog, Lucky.

His favorite day of the year was December 8, his birthday. By December 9, he was already looking forward to the next one. That was Glenn, always celebrating, always joyful, and impossible not to love.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothyjean; his siblings, John C. (Shan) Jensen, Valerie (Tom) Seelman, Yolonda (Tim) Wagamon, Jeanine (Rodney) Sedlacek, Tom (Courtney) Jensen, William (Jennifer) Jensen, George (Angie) Jensen, Iola (Lary) Feldkamp, and Arthur Jensen; as well as 19 nieces and nephews, John T. Jensen, Travis (Karla) Aubrecht, Megan Aubrecht, Kiley Seelman, Matthew Wagamon, Jason Wagamon (Sandy Mehdi), Brian Wagamon (Megan), Michael Sedlacek (Mady), Nicole Charipar (Andrew), Tyler Jensen (Danielle Chaney), Madeline Jensen (Chase McLaughlin), Emily Jensen, Stephen Jensen (Becca), David Jensen (Nicole Gerard), Grant Jensen, Garrett Jensen, Gavin Jensen, Katelyn Feldkamp, and Kellie Feldkamp.

He is also survived by his great nieces and nephews, Mason Iniguez, Tommy Aubrecht, Madalyn Gamble, Alex Gamble, Landon Wagamon, Hayden Wagamon, Greyson Sedlacek, Noah Sedlacek, Scotty Sedlacek, Roman Charipar, and Blakely Jensen; and his best friend, Jimmy Nunez.

Glenn was preceded in death by his father, John Howard, and his beloved dog, Lucky.

I am saddened to read of Glenn's passing. Whenever I saw him around town, at work, or at an awards ceremony he was always so happy. He lived a full life even though that life was cut short. He was an inspiration to so many.
