Hi Kathy, I hope this message finds you well. I was missing both you and Ron today as I was shuffling about looking for your phone numbers. I tried calling you both and when I found the numbers were disconnected, I tried searching you up on Google and was drawn here. Ron was a wonderful guy. I will miss him very much. I hope you are doing well and miss you too. I will leave my address attached to this message if you are in the mood to talk or reconnect. God Bless you.

Kathy: I contacted you previously but I'm not sure if you received my message. Needless to say I was deeply saddened by Ron's death. I first learned about it on the day of the funeral and therefore could not make the trip to attend.

If there's anything I can do or if you need help or assistance please contact me.

I still cant believe he's gone. Boy how I miss those weekly calls.

Ron was my good friend from the early 80's when we both drilled in NAVELEX and later SPAWAR. Ron always had a new joke to share, usually from his dentist who was also a Navy CDR. He consistently downplayed his own issues while offering kindness and hope for everyone else in his uniquely funny way. Ron was preceded in death by his beloved uncle Ben, also a Navy CDR, who clearly had a profound influence on Ron.

Hearing about it only today, my wife Rhonda and I, his longtime office neighbor, are truly sad to hear of friend Ron's death. We offer our most sincere condolences to his family and his steadfast partner/sweetie and wife, Kathy.

For 18 years, trading greetings, help and jokes down the hall lightened my workdays; both examples of the pair's friendliness. We were happy to have both as our wedding guests some years ago.

Ron handled his illness with great courage and perennial, upbeat humor. Yet, he persevered through all that for a long, long time without complaint.

He was a friend of mine whom we both will miss and I salute his memory.

Ronnie was part of a small group of friends that together attended school from kindergarten through high school. As different from one another as we were, we shared a closeness and history that bound us together forever. Ronnie's internal moral compass, dignity, and innate kindness were hallmarks of his character. I am deeply sadden by Ronnie's death.

To Michael, Lisa, David, Kathy and the rest of the family: Our prayers are with you. Ronnie was a great cousin and a very good friend. He always had a smile, stayed positive and continually helped others. Above all, he was a gentleman. We were both sworn in as U.S. Navy officers by my Dad. Ronnie served his country honorably and with complete dedication. He will be dearly missed. I know this is just a transition from one life to the next and we will all see him again in the future. He is safe, happy and healthy in God's loving arms. Fair winds and following seas Commander and shipmate!!
