Ruby Sims Obituary

Ruby Sims Gary IN, Ruby Sims passed away March 9, 2015 in Gary, IN at the age Of 105. Ruby was born August 7, 1909 in Waynesboro, MS. Ruby migrated to Chicago in 1941 then moved to Indiana in 2002. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Willie Sims. Ruby retired from the Veterans Hospital and was an Avon representative for over 50 years. .Ruby was a Life long servant of Christ and member of Mt Zion MB Church under Pastor Collins. She is survived by a daughter Julia Peavy of Gary, IN, 6 grandchildren Calvin Peavy of Memphis, TN, Wilma Lofton of Missouri City, TX, Sherman(Rebecca)Peavy of Milwaukee, WI, Sharon(William)Haymon of Merrillville, IN, Gerry Peavy of Memphis, TN, Michael(Terrie)Peavy of Gary, IN. 15 great-grandchildren, 30 great great-grandchildren, 1 great great great-grandchild and a host of other beloved relatives and friends. Ruby Sims left a legacy of blessings and love and will be greatly missed by all. Funeral Services will be held Saturday March 14, 2015 at Mt Zion MB Church 1047 Kenwood St. Hammond, IN 46320. Visitation - 9:00AM - 11:00AM Service - 11:00AM - 12:00PM. Followed by internment at Ridgelawn Cemetery 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, IN
