Rudolph Henry Tiedt, 95, lifelong resident of Burr Ridge. Beloved husband of the late Edna A; loving father of Michael B.
(Sharon Ann) and Jill D. (fiance William Martin); devoted grandfather of Michael B., Jr. (Amy), Christopher E. (Amy) and Sharon Ann, Jr. (fiance Jamin Heyde); dearest great-grandfather of Michael III, Andrew, Braeden, Madeline and Wyatt; fond uncle of Betty Stange. Visitation 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hallowell and James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Will lie in state from 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 11500 German Church Rd., Burr Ridge. Interment Fairmount-Willow Hills Memorial Park. Memorials to Project Compassion c/o Trinity Ladies Aid Society appreciated. Mr. Tiedt was a machine operator for Rockwell Spring and Axle for nearly 30 years, and after his retirement, he worked as an animal caretaker at Argonne National Lab. He was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Funeral home phone 708-352-6500.
