Ryan Gottainer, age 39, passed away suddenly. Cherished son of Joseph (Maureen) and Florrie Gottainer; loving brother of Lauren (Orrin) Edidin and Elizabeth (David) Sadkin; proud uncle of Jack and Nicole Edidin, Brandon and Blake Sadkin. Services Thursday, 1 p.m. at Temple Beth-El, 3610 Dundee Rd., Northbrook, IL. Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, IL. Remembrances may be made to a charity of your choice. Ryan was a dear friend of mine in College and after during my years in Chicago before I moved away. I am very sad about this. Ryan was a great kid, a hilarious comic, and a great friend. Tears come to my eyes and I feel very sad. I wish his family well and hope they are coping with this devastating event as best as possible.

I am so sorry. I enjoyed getting to know Ryan over the past couple of years and saw him progress and grow as a person. He was a bright, serious, sensitive soul who made everyone laugh. My memory of him will always be positive.
