Sage Stallone Obituary
Authorities were investigating Sage Stallone's death, but details were not immediately available.
"Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son," publicist Michelle Bega said in a statement. "His compassion and thoughts are with Sage's mother, Sasha."
Los Angeles police said they were dispatched to investigate a death at a home on Mulholland Terrace around 2:15 p.m. but could not confirm the person's identity or offer details.
Coroner's officials also said they were in the initial investigative stages.
"Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man, his loss will be felt forever," Bega said.
George Braunstein, an attorney who has represented Sage Stallone for 15 years, said a housekeeper found his body Friday afternoon. Friends and acquaintances had become concerned because they hadn't heard from Stallone in the past day, Braunstein said.
Sage Moonblood Stallone was the oldest of Sylvester Stallone's children and co-starred with his father in two films. He was the first of two sons Stallone had with first wife Sasha Czack.
Sage Stallone made his acting debut in 1990's "Rocky V" and also appeared with his father in 1996's "Daylight."
Also in 1996, Sage Stallone and veteran film editor Bob Murawski co-founded Grindhouse Releasing, a company dedicated to preserving and promoting the B-movies and exploitation films of the 1970s and 80s.
"He was very respectful of all the actors in all the movies," Braunstein said. "You couldn't mention a movie that he didn't know everything about."
Sage Stallone also directed the 2006 short "Vic," which screened at the Palm Springs Film Festival.
Braunstein said Stallone was planning on getting married for the first time, and had frequent requests to work on films.
"He was a full of life filmmaker with his whole future ahead of him," Braunstein said. "He was just very up and enthusiastic and positive.
"I think it was probably some sort of accident," he said of the death.
Braunstein said Sage Stallone greatly admired his father but was working hard to make his own name in the film industry.
"He was very proud of his father and proud to be his father's son," Braustein said.

We are to go before our children. My Mother lost my half brother at the age of 45, in a senseless manner and I watched her pain. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. I too know how it feels to loose a son. My son was killed in a car wreck 2 years ago. I know what you are going through and what you are going to go through and I wish I could take all the hurt, angry, what if I had just done this or that and why's away for you. Just know one thing he is at peace now in heaven forever more. It makes no difference how they die they are our children and we love them, and people should not judge. Only God knows what happen. My heart sank into a deep dispear the day I read of the tragic loss of Sage Stallone
No Mother or Father should ever have to go through life without their child whom they have loved from the second he came into their lives.
Sage so young and loved by all has left a impression in our hearts and has made so many memories some big some small.
His death is final and their is nothing that can be done to bring him back so please don't live your lives on what if's because death is final an it can't be undone.

I lost my son a year and half ago. He was on his way to class. He was 23. The pain is tremendous. It will change the dynamics of your life tremendously. Especially for his little brother. Hold tight as a family. Share your loving thoughts and even anger. Memories even hurt for a while because you want them back so bad! My daughter and I are trying to make new memories since it's just the 2 of us. It's tough but we hold in our hearts and mind that Garrick is with us. It brings us comfort.Hold onto God! Sly , I know the pain you feel I have lost 2 of my children 1 was 4.5 we lost her in a house fire in 1996, and we lost her older sister in 2007 in a vehicle accident . The bible verse where it says God will not put any more on us than we can stand , well it's true it is hard but it will get easier to deal with . The hurt still lingers but it gets bearable . To the family of Sage Stallone, a beautiful person left this world and is now sitting to the right side of the Greatest Father and all the angels. My deepest sympathy, prayers and thoughts to his family. I know the pain the family is experiencing as I lost my beloved first born son too at age 29.
