Sam F. Bovelli. Beloved husband of 57 years of Harriet; loving father of Sandra (James) Bandel, Candy (Peter) Auler, Penny (Andreas) Jungermann and Samuela (James) Memije; devoted grandfather of John Paul Bandel, Jayme (William) Gray, Andre Jungermann and Nayelli Memije; and great-grandfather of William Gray, III; cherished brother of Marion (the late Louie) Nottoli, Josephine (the late Stanley) Kurzeja, the late Santa (the late Anthony) Balistreri; fond brother-in-law of Cora Lee (Edmund) Finley, Harry (the late Darlene) Buenger and Pamela Zynda; uncle to many nieces and nephews; and friend to all. Funeral Tuesday, 10 a.m. Visitation open to family and friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of chapel service at 11 a.m. Inurnment private. Visitation Monday from 3 to 9 p.m. at Salerno Rosedale Chapels , Sciaraffa Funeral Directors, 450 W. Lake St., Roselle, IL 60172. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Uncle Sam's funeral was a beautiful tribute to such a great man. All words spoken in his honor attest to the exceptional person he was to everyone. He holds a very special place in all of our hearts and will be truly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.
