SARA FAEMS Obituary

Sara M. (Parmer) Faems, 91, of Prospect Heights, IL passed away on Nov. 23, 2011. She was born on Sept. 15, 1920 in Lafayette, IN, the daughter of John Forrest Parmer and Christine (Meyer) Parmer. On Sept. 15, 1945 she married Joseph Frank Faems, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Chicago, IL, and he preceded her in death on January 4, 2006. She was a member of the American Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association. Survivors include sons, Michael (Nancy) Faems, Donald (Debbie) Faems and Lawrence (Holly) Faems; daughters, Beatrice (Robert) Poteracki, Ellen (Rich) Faems Levin and Mary Faems; siblings, Mary Roemer, Jean (Jill) Danelski, and Jerome Parmer; grandchildren, Christopher (Wendy) Faems, Nicole Faems (Peter) Maurus, Matthew (Carla) Faems, Michael Poteracki, Jeffrey Poteracki, Lauren Faems, Katherine Faems, Cheryl Faems, Nathan Levin and Stephanie Levin; and great-grandchildren, Eleanor Faems, Charlotte Faems, Neely Maurus, Margaux Maurus and Grant Faems. She was preceded in death by Joseph Frank Faems (beloved husband), John and Christine Parmer (her beloved parents) and John (Jack) Parmer (her beloved brother). A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the St. John's Catholic Church in Enochsburg. Father George Nangachiveettil will be officiating. Burial will follow at the St. John's Catholic Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Misericordia Home, Attn: Sister Rosemary Connelly, 6300 North Ridge Chicago, Illinois 60660-1017 in lieu of flowers.
