Saul was my first boss-man, he taught me everything I know about moderating. Ill never forget his fun stories about moderating through the years. He was generous with his craft and always respectful and ready to listen to me when I was a 20something recent graduate who thought she knew it all. I will never forget the highflying 90s when we traveled 1st class drinking Bloody Marys on our way to John Wayne airport. He was a true class act, a real gentleman who made me feel like his intellectual equal and who smiled easily at silly jokes. I really admired his ease with people from CEOs to waiters. He told me once that the secret to moderating focus groups was really simple, we are all the same, inside. I feel so privileged to have known Saul and to have worked for him. My condolences to his family.
