I met Sharon and collaborated with her team when she was a Director at Life source and i was just beginning my career at Haemonetics. She was such a joy to work with and I moved out of transfusion for few years and back. Am so deeply saddened to see the post that she is no more. You will be deeply missed Sharon.

Sharon was organizing Bone Marrow Blood Drive with Sharon Griffin when I met her in 1992.
Sharon was the one who put me on the map of working multitudes of blood drives; sometimes by myself or with others like David Esteem.....etc.
Sharon I will remember your smiles, encouragements and the ability to talk through sticky situations like a blood spill or a donor fainting.
I pray that God wrap his loving arm around Sharon family of support and love. May God let the family know that she shown her wings here with us so others will get theirs too.
Love always,
Tyashamel Perteet

Sharon was my boss at American Red Cross Blood Distribution Dept. over 40 years ago. She had the heart and patience of a saint because every one of us was a handful. I still remember her smile, laugh, and words of encouragement I needed at the time.

I met Sharon over 10 years ago through Midwest Dachshund Rescue. She adopted her Cubby at the same we adopted our Puccini. I last talked with her a few weeks ago. Even though she was missing her Cisco, she was looking forward to adopting her new dog. My thoughts and prayers are with Sharon´s family.

The first time I met Sharon was over 40 years ago when she worked for The American Red Cross (ARC) on Ohio St. Ironically, my father, who also worked at the ARC as a member of the refrigerator maintenance crew, introduced us, as he knew at the time that my career interest was in Blood Banking.
The rest is history. Our paths continued to cross as fate would have it to include seeing each other at local blood bank meetings and workshops, sharing our life stories, working together at Lifesource Blood Center, and remaining good friends after our retirements.
The thing I admired most about Sharon was that she was a person of integrity who believed in always doing the right thing. She was humble and only spoke of her professors achievements when asked. Her true passion in life was to help others and to see them advance in their careers. She guided and mentored many individuals, including myself, to help them achieve their goals. She was a valuable contributor in the field of Transfusion Medicine.
I feel so blessed and proud to have had her in my life as a confidant, mentor, coworker, and friend. I will miss her dearly but know in my heart that we will see each other again.
To Sharon´s family, please accept my heartfelt condolences. Your loss is Heaven´s gain. May her faith lesson your sorrow and bring you peace.

I am so devastated. I adored Sharon. She did my home check for the first dog I adopted, Reggie, with Midwest Dachshund Rescue many years ago. She became a trusted friend who I will miss very much. She was truly an extraordinary human being. The world was better with her in it. Now reunited with Jim and all her precious dogs. Rest In Peace, dear Sharon.

Sharon was a student at Holy Ghost Academy and a member of our community for some years. She remained a friend of the community all her life and we saw her many times, most frequently last year when she came often to offer assistance for her classmate and friend who was recuperating here after fracturing ankle/foot bones.
Sharon was a good person and a generous friend. May she be blessed with her eternal reward for her good life!
