Dear Florence,

I was so very sorry to hear the news from Carolyn. Stan was such a kind, caring, patient and funny man. I have many fond memories of our times together at State Science Fair. May our Lord Jesus bless you with comfort in your time of mourning. You are in my prayers.

I am so sorry that I am not able to be at the visitation tonight. We are hosting a church event at our house.

Dear Flo,

Stanley was a wonderful person, and this world will be the lesser for his loss. We were taught that heaven is a wonderful place, as Stanley has now found.

Flo, take care of yourself. I am sorry that we cannot get to the funeral.

Love,

Pat

Dear Florence and Family,

I think you know that of all your friends, my empathy with your loss in Stanley's illness and death is especially profound. Indeed, he died on the second anniversary of Roger's own funeral.

Be sure I will remember all of you in my prayers and make each of you a "special intention" of our Sacred Heart Prayer Group.

Fondly,
