Dr. Stanley G. Rabinowitz, 81. Beloved husband of Harriet Rabinowitz nee Minarsky. Loving father of Stacey (Lowell) Cantor and Richard (Heather) Rabinowitz. Proud grandfather of Rachel Cantor, Ethan Cantor and Olivia Rabinowitz. Dear brother of the late David (Susan) Rabinowitz and the late Harold (Sherry) Rabinowitz. Stanley was born on August 11, 1940 in New York City, NY to the late Mary (nee Belenky) and Murray Rabinowitz. He grew up in the Bronx on Barnes Avenue. He was a proud graduate of The Bronx High School of Science. He graduated from Brandeis University and went on to attend The University of Pittsburgh's School of Medicine where he achieved high honors graduating second in his class. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at New York University and fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Yale University. He served in the military for three years at The US Army Medical Research Institute at Fort Detrick in Maryland. He then joined the faculty as a full professor of medicine at Northwestern University Medical School in Internal Medicine where is was a member of The Young Turks (honorary society) and published numerous articles and was awarded several grants from the NIH. He was extremely proud of his academic career. Stanley met the love of his life, Harriet, at age 18 up "in the country" where their families spent the summers. They married in 1963 and were set to celebrate their 59th wedding anniversary this June. Stanley was devoted and loving husband never at a loss to find words of praise for his wife. Together they traveled the world, collected art and enjoyed the opera and symphony. Aside from his wife and children, Stanley's greatest source of joy was his grandchildren, Rachel, Ethan and Olivia. He took great pride in their achievements and loved chatting with them on the phone. He truly enjoyed his retirement in Boca Raton, Florida. I have fond memories of Stanley. Recently, I was
in his house playing bridge with Harriet. He seemed
calm and content with his new house and life in
Boca Raton.
I always enjoyed his company. I will miss him.

Best regards to Harriet and the rest of the family.
