Sowinski, 50, son of Patricia and the late Edward Sr.; beloved husband of Cindy; loving father of Jennifer (Thomas) and Matthew (Kayla); step-father of Scott Golding; dear brother of Edward "Butch" Jr., Daniel (Patricia), Barbara (Mark) Martin, Judy (Scott Verdich), the late Michael; son-in-law of Norman and Clarence (Ida) Kruthoff, Karl (Sally) Kruthoff, Larry (Lupe) Kruthoff, Jeff (Terri) Hawbaker; uncle to many. Visitation from 9 to 12 p.m. Saturday at Kristan Funeral Home P.C., 219 West Maple Ave. (2 blocks west of Rt. 45 on Rt. 176) Mundelein with funeral service at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family appreciated. It's hard to imagine life without Steve. Already the loss is felt. We will always be here for you and just know you had a WONDERFUL husband and friend. He loved you and the kids with all his heart. It's just won't be the same sitting on the front porch.
