Stephen A. Story. Age 72. U.S. Navy Veteran Vietnam War. Beloved husband of the late Valerie Story nee Eckert. Dear brother-in-law of Alyce (Dennis) Porebski. Loving uncle of Susan (Richard) Fudacz, Timothy Porebski and Jennifer (Jason) Bokori. Great-uncle of Zachary and Carson. Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. until time of Mass 10:00 A.M. at St. George Church 6707 W. 175th St. Tinley Park. Interment Private. Steve was a great guy , we worked together for many years.
He was a great help as engineer for the conveyor group and was great when we worked together at the overseas division
I hope he rests in peace with his wife

I met Steve and Val thru my now ex-husband. They were great people and the world was a better place with them in it. You could see and feel the love between them - even by just telling us about one of their wine country trips. I wish I could have gotten to know them better. Flo

Steve was a good friend from continental can. His nick name to us was story book. he was an engineer with us and he worked with us better than anyone. we golfed together at all outtings. i saw him late year at our reunion of just friends of ccc.
I could not make his wifes memorial and this is a real shock. he was a great guy and friend
