Steve McInerney

1960 - 2017

DuQuoin-Stephen Thomas McInerney, 56, passed away at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2017. Steve was born on July 20, 1960 to Thomas and Judith McInerney. On October 13, 1984 he married Sherry Rich. She survives and is of DuQuoin. Survivors include his wife Sherry; parents, Thomas and Judith McInerney; son, Michael McInerney; two daughters, Taylor (Lance) Jaggers, and Alexandra McInerney; two brothers, Daniel (Beth) McInerney and Thomas (Margaret) McInerney; three sisters, Terry (Joe) Reidy, Julie (Marty) Racz and Jodie (Dan) Berry; and one grandchild on the way. Service will be held at the First Baptist Church, East Campus, in Geneva, IL at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017 with Brad Vineyard officiating. Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Interment will be at a later date. Memorials are the preferred form of remembrance and may be made to the education fund for his son, Michael McInerney, in care of Linda Swinford, 435 N.
