Loreé Laborne McInerney

Loreé Laborne McInerney, of Needham, 76, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the beloved daughter of the late Donald and Muriel Laborne. Loreé grew up in Wellesley, Massachusetts, and later raised her family in Needham, where she built a life centered around family, faith, and community.

Loreé graduated high school from Ursuline Academy and attended Marymount College. She devoted much of her professional life to Saint Joseph's School in Needham, where she worked for 38 years and touched the lives of countless students, families, and colleagues through her dedication and kindness, and where she formed relationships for life.

Loreé enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life. She loved knitting, ice skating, and spending summers playing tennis at the Needham Pool and Racquet Club. Some of her most cherished memories were the many special times spent with her extended family in New Hampshire, Big Pine Key, and Cape Cod.

She was the loving wife of Tom McInerney for 55 years and a devoted mother to her three children: Mia Rizzo and her husband Mike of Needham, Tommy McInerney of Needham, and Jeff McInerney and his wife Kelly of Dedham. Loreé was also a proud and cherished grandmother to five grandchildren: JB and Brody McInerney and Caitlyn, Riley and Emma Rizzo.

She is survived by her brothers Donald and Ken Laborne. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Loreé will be remembered for her warmth, her deep love for her family, and the lasting impact she made on those who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Avenue, Needham on Sunday, March 22, from 2-6pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning, March 23, at 10:00 am at Saint Joseph's Church, 1382 Highland Ave, Needham. Interment will follow at Holyhood Cemetery, Chestnut Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations in Loreé McInerney's memory may be made to Saint Joseph School, 90 Pickering Street, Needham, MA 02492.
