Steve was someone I always looked up to for strength, patience, perseverance, and a great amount of common sense. His serenity must have come from a Higher Source. Steve, be on the lookout for us! Maria

Jayne - we have not seen you and Steve since we lived next to you in Santee. Reading the obituary about Steve this morning was so sad for us. Your family is so precious and Steve is just the kindest man we have ever known. You have all remained in our thoughts over the years. We recently came across the picture of all our kids sitting on the sidewalk with Katie's turtles. Your family has so many special memories that will get you thru this difficult time!

Steve was a beautiful and patient soul, with a great sense of humor. He was a wonderful husband to my best friend, Jayne, and a wonderful father. He will be missed by anyone who knew him. Many prayers for Steve and the Gongol and Lysne families. May he rest in peace, in God's arms.

I will always remember Steve for his quiet and patient nature around 10 webelos cub scouts as my co-den leader.Although we didn't keep in contact he did make a lasting impression and we will miss him dearly.

Steve you will be missed by so many. I still remember going to your house for a progressive dinner with the babysitting co-op. Everyone was commenting on your dining room and Jayne said you had done all the wall paper and decorating. Later in life the tile work and kitchen remodel you did was beautiful. What a gift you had for That type of work. I know this past year was not easy for you or the family, may you rest in peace!

Steve was a kind a gentle soul who was a bright light to all who knew and loved him. I loved his dry sense of humor and his quiet way of leading the good life. He was so proud of his family and loved his children and my sister deeply. I'm saddened by his passing and our condolences go out to the entire Gongol family.
