A Guardian Angel
Flew down from above,
To teach me a lesson
About the powers of love.
She whispers to me,
Take a hold of my hand,
There are so many things
I wish you to understand.
About the powers of love,
And all it can do,
To someone who needs
To share it with you.
A pat on the back,
A kind smile on your face,
Can make someone's life,
A much brighter place.
It doesn't take much,
To show someone you care,
To give them the love,
God gave you to share.
So please keep in mind,
All the powers you possess,
To grace someone's life,
When they're in distress.
You've been put on this earth
To bestow the powers of love,
And with those final words,
She disappeared up above.
Susan- You are an inspiration to all, especially myself. You were the best they come, A very loving aunt. Mark I love you always, you are in my prayers.

To the Powers/Cowhey Families,
Please know that my thought and prayers are with you. Sue was a classmate and friend at Marillac. In High School she was a leader, and an individual who was always there to lend a hand. She blossomed into a wonderful woman. Her short time here has left a legacy for many to follow.

Dear Mark and Families, That was really a beautiful service today. The priest was truly a master of public speaking, quite reminiscent of Susan's extreme talents in that area. Her last speech may have been one of her best and most important.

We were deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Though we never met Susan, we felt that we came to know her through her sister Marianne. May the love and support that has carried you through these past few, tough months continue to carry you through this difficult time.
Always keep Susan in your hearts with a smile. Know that she will always be there as your guardian angel to continue the love and support her family had given her.

Dear Mark and Cowhey Family:
It was a pleasure knowing Susan throughout our years at Holy Cross School. I am grateful that I also had a chance to reunite with Susan in recent years at our school reunion and during another mutual friend's illness. I was impressed by Susan's strength and willpower throughout her own illness and the successful life that she made for herself in spite of it.
I will keep Susan and her family in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Dear Mark, The entire Cowhey Family and all of the Powers Family,
Words cannot express the plethera of feelings I have right now. My sincerest sympathies go out to you all at this time of loss. Susan was truly a saint of a human being. Always upbeat, strong of character, never a word of despair or complaint and had an appreciation of life like no other.
She touched everyones life in her own special way and we are all better people for having the gift of knowing her, it was my privelage to call her my friend. I will miss her presence in this world greatly, but her spirit and the life lessons she taught me will stay with me all through the rest of my lifes journey. She was a gift to us all, people like her are far and few between.
The time she was allowed to spend with us all was short, but in that short time she taught us all so much about what was truly important in life.
Mark, you are truly a lucky man to have had the opportunity to have shared your lives together. I am sure you will continue to spread the love, the warmth, and the courage she taught you so much about. I am a proud and honored to be both of your friends. I love you both very much.
My sincerest sympathies go out to all of you at this time, But if I know Susan at all, she would not want any of us to feel pain or saddness. She would be greatful for all the time she had to spend with us. And would want us to celebrate her life and to anxiously await the time when we all can join her in Heaven.
Susan, in the words of Father Hal, "May the lord go ahead of you to guide you, behind you to protect you, be at your side to accompany you and beneath you to support you." And in my words, May he let your lessons of life shine and remain in all of our memories forever. God Bless you.

To the Powers Family:
I had the extreme pleasure of knowing and working with Susan at Walgreens for 3 years. In that time, we shared many talks ranging from work situations to our stories about our loved Golden Retrievers. She was a great inspiration and will be greatly missed. As we look back at her, we will always remember that "Attitude is Contagious..Is yours worth catching?!!!!" Susan's attitude was worth catching. May we all remember her and her special gifts. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

Dear Cowhey and Powers Families,
You have my prayers, love, and support at this time of sorrow. Since I met Sue in the fall of 1976, I have known her to be a woman of prayer, compassion, and courage. She and I shared a love for Marillac High School, Charles Schultz and his Peanut characters, and reaching out to and serving others! Over the years, Sue has been an example of real courage, persistence, prayerfulness and perseverance. Although we will miss her, we now have another angel to intercede for us in heaven. You have my love, prayers, and sympathy.
