THERESE M. KIRSH

Therese M. Kirsh, 76, of Wheeling, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, with her five children at her side. She was born Sept. 7, 1936, in Chicago to the late Rose (Jamrog) and Edmund Doranski. Therese earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Loyola University of Chicago and upon graduation taught elementary school. She married the late Donald Kirsh on July 6, 1963, and the couple lived in Des Plaines for 42 years, raising five children there. Therese was a homemaker who worked for the City of Des Plaines as a municipal development clerk in the late 1980s/early 1990s. She was a devoted Catholic; had a wonderful smile and sense of humor; loved music, reading, and the Cubs; was thoughtful, generous, and dearly loved by her family. She will be greatly missed by her children: daughter Mary (Stephen) Angeliu of Buffalo Grove; daughter Paula (Chris) Anderson of Charlotte, N.C.; son John (Nancy) Kirsh of Rochester Hills, Mich.; son Peter (Cynthia) Kirsh of Buffalo Grove; and daughter Christina (Terence) Dennelly of Oakdale, N.Y. She was the loving grandmother of Kelly, Tim, Tom, Katy, Kevin, Justin, Brian, Annie, Susie, Andrew, Tess, Peter, James and Cathleen. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines. Therese will lie in state from 8:15 a.m. until the funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, at Addolorata Villa, 555 McHenry Rd., Wheeling. Interment at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines. Masses are appreciated. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of Illinois and to Addolorata Villa.
