THOMAS SOLON Obituary
Thomas J. Solon, loving husband of Evelyn, nee Stoginski; beloved father of T. Jay, Thomas (Susan), Phyllis and Julianne (Bob) Schuberth; proud grandpa of Stephen, Daniel, Jonathan, Zosia, Mae and Tommy; dear brother of Kay (Ralph) Kleczewski, the late M. Gene (late John D.) Starr, and the late John D. (late Dolores) Solon; uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews. CPS teacher for 38 years. Member of the first class of Deacons and served at St. Denis Parish. Visitation Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m. at St. Denis Church, 8301 S. St. Louis Ave., Chicago. Friday, family and friends will meet at St. Denis Church, Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to, either, the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association. Arrangements by D.F. Curley Sons Funeral Directors. Many good memories remain with us of the man with the smile that was always on his face. My daughter (1993) & I (1964) were both lucky to have a great gym teacher at Sawyer School. Mr. Solon was 1 in a million. Cherished memories will remain in many hearts. Marsha Goryl-Imlach & Elaine Imlach

Deepest condolences to the Solon familiy. Tom was always able to share a smile with everyone he met in the park. We always look forward to seeing both Tom and Evy. May God bless your family.

As another in-law, I've known Tom most of my life. I was proud of the fact that he baptized my grandson, Bradley Sapp. I have fond memories of the many Solon picnics as well as trips to the lake.

Mr Solon,
My Gym Teacher ,when I transferred from Hedges to Sawyer, it was so nice to see a familiar face. I graduated in 1970 and it feels like yesterday we were playing Soccer. Thank You Susan Kirkpatrick-Stopka

Uncle Tom was the best. I always had a great time being around him and talking to him. You would never know I was married into the family. He always treated me and my mother as if we were blood relatives. I'll miss him at the family pinics. God Bless him.
