My sincerest condolences to the Russo family. While serving as a counselor at Daley College in the late 90's, I became good "buds" with Vince. I adored his humor and laugh and his admiration for his family and life, in general. He had the gift of brightening one's heart and soul. I felt very fortunate to call him my friend. God Bless you Vince. May you rest in peace.

I taught Business and Computer Science at Daley College when I met Vince. I told him my wife lived on the East Side for 25 years and we had an immediate connection. I retired ten years ago from Daley College, and Vince was not far behind me.
We saw each other every day and had many conversations about the East Side and Hegewisch, where I lived for a few years. I really enjoyed talking to Vince and sometimes we would be leaving and end up talking for an hour. But my most memorable conversations were about his family.
When I mentioned that I golfed at Lost Marsh, Vince told me his wife would go to lunch there. I lived in Calumet City for a while. That led to a conversation about his son who was teaching at Thornton Fractional North High School. One of his sons completed a computer class with me. Our conversations always included his family. I am a better person from knowing Vince.
He is no longer with you, but is no longer suffering. May he rest in peace.

I retired from the Business and Computer Science Department at Daley College. When I told Vince that my wife lived on the East Side for 25 years, we had an immediate connection.
I retired ten years ago, and Vince was soon to follow me. We would see each other every day after classes and have extended conversations about the East Side and Hegewisch, where I lived for a few years. But my most memorable conversations were about his family.
When I mentioned that I golfed at Lost Marsh, Vince told me that his wife would go to lunch there. One of his sons took my computer class. Another son taught at Thornton Fractional North High School. Our conversations would always include his family.
I deeply regret Vince's passing, but I know he is no longer suffering. I am glad that I really got to know him. May he rest in peace.

I worked with Vince for several years at the Chicago Police academy and we ran together everyday when we had a break in our schedule. We ran several marathons back in the 80 s and all in all , Vince was always a class act. We often saw Vince at Mount Carmels football games when his kids went there. He will be missed and will be in my prayers and , it was a joy to be his friend. May his soul Rest In Peace and my condolences on your lost.
