Walter S. Auerbach, age 72, late of Riverdale, beloved husband of Sheila, nee Brockmeyer of 49 years. Loving father of Susan Sallas, Janine (Brian) Limpus and the late James (Victoria) Auerbach; proud grandfather of Rhiannon Sallas and Joshua Auerbach; devoted son of Jane W. Hart of Chicago; dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Retired employee of Veterans Trucking with many years dedicated service. Walter was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Visitation Monday, 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, 9 a.m. from Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service), 15801 S. Cottage Grove Ave., four blocks north of 162nd St. (Rte. 6) Dolton/South Holland, to Queen of Apostles Church. Mass 10 a.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Parkinson Disease Foundation is preferred and appreciated. 708-841-2300.
