I'm 10 years away from Chicago and Lincoln Park Zoo, and hope you even vaguely remember my husband, Jack, and me. But both the city and zoo, particularly LPZ, had become part of my heart and soul because of your and Wendy's loving, responsible spirits and what you two accomplished in your lives. Wendy's list of possible memorial donations testifies to that. Please, please do not stop working for whatever target you choose that is most important to you now, especially for Wendy. You are way too wise not to. Many of us who have known you two will try our best, too.

My condolences to Fisher family and remembering a good friend and neighbor from River Side, someone who helped us bring a great German Sheppard into our family from the original owner of the Caulder Elephant print.

Dear Lester, as I read about Wendy's death this morning, I thought back to the happy day I performed the wedding ceremony for you two and how honored I felt to be a part of that day with you. I have always considered that one of my favorite weddings, and I can still remember the bride and groom apes on the top of your cake.

Dr. Fisher, Wendy was a very special person. Like you, she always had time to talk with or help anyone. And she had the best laugh. I will really miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
