William Eder, WWII Navy Veteran, beloved husband of 55 years of Ann M., nee Wollschlaeger; loving father of William (Marilyn), Jay (Carol), Michael (Elizabeth) and Thomas (Janelle) Eder; cherished grandfather of Kimberly, Karen, Kristen, Jennifer, Jason, Ashley, Stephanie, Lauren, Olivia and Jacob; great-grandfather of Audrey; dear brother of Barbara Redpath and the late Valentine, Joseph and Frank Eder; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday 9:30 a.m. from Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, to St. Maria Goretti Church. Mass 10:30 a.m. Interment private. Active member of St. Maria Goretti Parish. Dear Lord we come before you and ask You to wrap your comforting arms around Aunt Ann and her family as they are dealing with the sadness of the passing of Uncle Willie. We pray Lord that they will all feel the peace that only You can give them at this time. Please give them strength to get through the next couple of days and continue to let them feel You with them as the days pass. Until we all meet again someday in Heaven I ask a blessing on all of our families. We praise You and thank You Lord in Jesus' Name we pray. Amen

I will always remember your Dad as the "rough & tough" sailor who I loved to be around. Even as he got older and couldn't remember who I was, he commanded my respect. God bless him and keep him.
