William Hoff Obituary
William A. Hoff, age 90, of Downers Grove formerly of La Grange Park. Beloved husband of Glenda. Loving father of Ellen (John) Hoffman, Laurie (Glenn) Asch and William Hoff. Devoted grandfather of Charles, Ariel, Carrie, William, Eric, Elizabeth and David. William served in the US Marine Corps during WWII as a mortar man in the 3rd marines, 3rd division on the islands of Guam and Iwo Jima and later was proud to have participated in the Honor Flight. His family will always remember him as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was willing to do anything for anyone at any time. A private funeral service has been held. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials in memory of William Hoff may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Pathway to Adventure Council,811 W Hillgrove, La Grange, IL 60525 708-354-1111. Bill was a delightful man, friend and neighbor to my sister, Gigi (and our family) for many years. I always felt welcomed when I pulled up to her home and where Bill was usually doing some kind of yard work or just enjoying the outdoors. He was always eager to chat and share stories. His humor and kindness will always be remembered.
