Simpson; devoted father of Penelope Simpson and the late David (Patricia) Simpson; loving grandfather of Michael and Bret Simpson, Marilyn, Samantha and Rachel Simpson; dear brother of the late Mary Ryan, Uncle of Edward (Michelle) Ryan; Muffy (Al) Lerner; and Nancy Ryan. Dear Simpson Family,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Simpson. I have known him my entire life as a kind and generous man. His devotion to Marilyn was very special. She was a very gracious lady. Mr. & Mrs Simpson were close friends of my parents and extended family. For many years I worked at Loyola University. When on campus, he would always come by to say hello. He will be greatly missed by many! You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Today, with great sadness I learned of Bill's passing. On behalf of Catholic Charities, I would like to express my sincere condolences to the Simpson family on your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Bill was a man who lived with a "Heart of Charity." The kindness and grace he showed to those less fortunate are an inspiration to those whose lives he has touched. May you find comfort in knowing that Bill is now at peace.
