I just met Marie for the first time on the day she buried her sweet father. Although we just met, I have to say I am deeply moved by the outpouring of love from your community of neighbors, friends and family. Bill sounds like he was a jovial heart and I can see that his family carries on his legacy already. I am sure he is very proud of you. May God bless you during this difficult time.

It's hard to sum up all that Zvonko was in a guest book entry on an online obit., but I will try. Zvonko was the epitome of what a man was supposed to be; strong, hard working, perserverant, yet kind, gentle, and loving. In this day and age it is hard to see people don a smile, yet Zvonko was never seen without one. His knack for humor and drive for success was and still is a guiding light in my life. I still remember how he would tease Peter and I about how we were, "brother in laws" (inside joke) or while watching football on Thanksgiving he would throw out the random, "whos your daddy" and light up the room in a rib hurting fit of laughter.
Ana, Greg, Marie, and Peter I apologize for not being in attendance the last two days, and I know this time is hard, but please remember how much good Zvonko brought to this world and let his smile help ease your pain.

We only knew Bill through the summer bocce league at Mama's. But Adria was always a team we look forward to playing. We always knew if we paid attentiong, we'd learn something while getting our butts kicked.
Our sincerest condolences. He was truly one of the best bocce ball players we ever played against. And unlike many others, he was willing to share his vast knowledge of the game with opposing players.

How incredibly blessed you all are to have had such a wonderful father/husband in your lives! As sad as it is to not have him here with you, you honor him by celebrating the life he led and the joy he brought to everyone he met. Zvonko treated me like another member of the family - he didn't have to pay attention to me at all, but he always made me feel special. I don't believe I ever saw "Ringo" without a smile on his face. I don't think I ever laughed as hard as I did then sitting around the dining room table telling stories with Zvonko, Anna and Nada. We will all miss him very much. May he rest in peace.

Dear Cabo family,
We are shocked and saddened by the news of Bill. We enjoyed and have so many great memories of being your neighbors in Burbank for 10 years. Bill would always show up after a long week of work at the packing plant. He would bring our baby back ribs that we ordered and always have a great bottle of wine to share with us and Ann and Hank. Our deepest sympathy, to all the Cabo family, we were blessed to meet Greg's mom and dad at our home in San Antonio at the birthday party of our son J R who is a good friend of Greg. Zvonko and Marie danced with their precious granddaughter GiGi to the song my my boggie shoes. They were so happy and two of the sweetest people you would ever want to meet.
