David Clark Obituary

DAVID CLARK It is with great sadness that the family of David Wilson Clark announces his passing on December 27, 2018 at the age of 62 after a five-year journey with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). David's life goal was to provide a stable and honest foundation for everyone around him. This was prioritized with the home he designed and built for his family, and it extended to his supervising the construction of both the Stony Creek Bridge in Glenn County and the Spanish Creek Bridge in Plumas County, as well as many other projects. David's quiet caring for others is a legacy reflected in his own son's integrity, sincerity and kindness. David was born October 31, 1956 in Warren, PA to Rupert & Frances Clark. He lived in Oberlin, OH and in Minot, ND before moving to Chico in 1986. David worked as a service writer at Wittmeier Honda while attending Butte College and CSU, Chico. He then worked as a civil engineer with Cal Trans. One of David's greatest joys was working as a volunteer firefighter with Butte Valley Fire Company 25. David is survived by his wife, Kat and his son, Craig. He is also survived by siblings Cathy Clark, Elinor (Michael) Auge', and Grant Clark, as well as his niece Becky (John) Unkefer, nephew Rob (Olessia) Bauer, great-niece Evelyn and great-nephew Dmitri, and aunt Kate (Andy) Pincus. Memorial contributions may be made to Butte Valley Fire Company 25, 3487 Durham-Pentz Rd, Butte Valley, CA 95965. A private graveside service will be held on January 4, 2019, handled by Brusie Funeral Home.

Best wishes to all family, friends and fellow firefighters. David shared so much and will be missed. He was a volunteer at Company 25. I have been to many training events with his company as a fellow volunteer from Company 37, a neighboring station.Blessings to his survivors.

Dave was such a sweet, gentle man, who loved his family dearly and made sure they were taken care of.

I really liked working with David and always enjoyed his enthusiasm around the field office and as a friend outside of work. He always had a smile on his face no matter what the situation, set the bar high with his work ethics and always found time to lend a helping hand. His family and his Caltrans family lost a beautiful human being and friend.
Respectfully,

Charles R. Hutchinson
