Dean Clift Obituary

DEAN H. CLIFT, JR.

Dean H. Clift, Jr. of Willows passed away in Chico on December 13, 2007. He was 61.

Dean was born in Montana on September 5, 1946 to Dean and Margaret Clift.

Dean graduated from high school in 1964 and from San Francisco Mortuary College in 1965. He has worked for F.D. Sweet & Son Mortuary since 1970 and has been the owner since 1989.

Dean served in the U.S. Army for 3 years from 1966-1969.

He married Rosalyn Cordingly in October of 1968. He was a member of Kiwanis and enjoyed fishing, golfing and bus trips to Reno.

Dean is survived by his wife, Rosalyn; his sons, Doug (Nicole) of Chico; Jeff (Mary) of Willows; Chris (Morgan) of Willows, and Eric (Ashley) of Chico; aunt, Mary Lou Dick of Grass Valley; four grandsons, Jared, Jeremy, Ryan and Tanner all of Chico.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 16, 7-8 p.m. at F.D. Sweet & Son Mortuary.

Services will be held on Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Willows Christian Church in Willows, Calif.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Judes.

Brusie Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

I was saddened to read of Dean's passing and send my deepest sympathies to Jeff and the rest of the family. I worked for years at his answering service and Dean was always so pleasant, kind, and easy to work with. His loss will be felt my many.
