My condolences and heart felt sympathy goes to Susan and Don's broader family. As his obituary describes, he was an industry leader, friend to the ground he farmed and all those that shared his love of farming and family. Many years have passed since our last words, but I still cherish my memories of his enthusiasm for innovative farming, family life and projecting his vision forward. Our community misses him already. Rest in peace Don Murphy.

My heartfelt sympathy to Don's family.
Our long history goes back to the summer of 1955 when he taught me how to waterski in the canals of the Feather River and continued through the years. He was a fixture at the French Bakery in Durham where my husband Don and I would catch up with Don and his family, especially his grandchildren.
A respected member of the greater Chico community, Don touched the lives of many and will be missed.
